When it’s not really snowing anywhere else in North America, you typically can’t lose by heading to the Northwest to seek out the massive storms that pound Washington state. The Arbor crew including rider, Mark Reininga filmer, Matt Devino and TM, Brad Farmer meet up with the Hot Lava crew including Arbor regional rider, Rayn Mclaughlin, Ian Wright and friend, Max Mcindoe at Stevens Pass. And it snowed…a lot. Powder days are here again in this the third episode of Arbor’s Somewhat Uncertain Journey of 2012.

In a winter of what if’s, I wish’s and all around WTF’s, sometimes you just have to roll the dice and give’er a go. Arbor rider’s Ian Sams and Scotty Vine set out on a trek from Salt Lake City to Aspen and then on to Denver just trying to get involved and make some snowboarding happen in a wildly uncertain season. Along the way they drop in on a SLC urban mission, a Nike Chosen event, the Bonezone, Brighton, the X Games, Snowmass and SIA among all parts in-between and at various times they meet up with teammates, Sean Black, Brandon Hammid, Blake Axelson, Sammy Spiteri and Nick Visconti. Arbor Snowboards presents an Uncertain Journey Episode 2 of 2

From Nick Visconti — This season I have been working on an exclusive TransWorld SNOWboarding web-series and video project with intent to fuse web, video and print media. However, due to some unexpected events and the limited snow season, this project has been reinvented and we decided to release now in season. Here is my full rail video part Nick Visconti’s “ReCreation,” hosted by TransWorld, and proudly presented by Arbor Snowboards and Arnette Eyewear. Enjoy!

From Nick Visconti — If my time in this industry has taught me anything, it is to “expect the unexpected.” In the world of action sports, extreme progression quickly devalues what was once regarded as exceptional. What does this process look like? The exceptional becomes the expected, the expected becomes the standard, and the standard becomes monotonous and mundane. How then does a media platform, endemic brand, or professional snowboarder assault this vicious cycle? Do what is unexpected.

However, due to some unexpected events and the limited snow season, this project has been reinvented. My full rail video part Nick Visconti’s “ReCreation,” hosted by TransWorld, and proudly presented by Arbor Snowboards and Arnette Eyewear will be released at the pinnacle of snowboard web traffic, March 7th. The release will shock and startle those viewers whose minds are limited by tradition.
