Arbor is proud to make all of our t-shirts right here, in North America. The goal ultimately is to offer an entire line of apparel manufactured in the good ole’ US of A. We currently make the t-shirt collection, including the viscose from bamboo/organic cotton tees that we are known for, the hat collection and now some of our knits all in Los Angeles. Arbor is well on its way to being a completely domestic producer of eco-friendly apparel.

Casey, who has a long history in the skate, snow and street wear industry, and previously sold Oakley as well as Dragon, Emerica, Altamont and eS for NLA recently went it alone and created his own sales agency.

Arbor Snowboards is proud to welcome Curtis Woodman to their snowboard team. Woodman was born in Sacramento, California and currently resides in Truckee, California. “I’ve been a Curtis Woodman fan since the Neoproto days and I’m fired up to be working with him now,” says Arbor team director, Brad Farmer. “Curtis has a snowboarding ability and style that most can only dream of. If last season is any indication of where he’s headed, it’s going to be exciting to watch over the next couple of years. I believe he will be an amazing leader of the Arbor ‘Roots’ snowboard program and I can’t wait to see what he does in the backcountry this season.”

“I have honestly heard that I should ride for Arbor more times than I can count and I feel blessed to be a part of such an amazing family of snowboarders,” says Woodman. “Arbor is raw and environmentally friendly, what else could I want from a brand?” Curtis is a big fan of Arbor’s traditional wood topsheet look. “There’s nothing better than looking down at a beautiful piece of wood underneath your feet. I like being in my element on my Arbor Element snowboard.”
Look for Woodman to be filming for a major film project this coming season. He will be riding Arbor’s Blacklist, Draft and Element RX snowboards as well as spending a season testing the Arbor Abacus splitboard that’s due to be released in 2013.

In the first installment of the 2011 Get Elevated Series, the Arbor Skateboards team including James Kelly, Kody Noble, Max Myers, Eric Singer, Jimmy Riha and Duke Degen meet up at the Skate House in Los Angeles before heading Northeast into the Sierras. After a long drive and by sheer serendipity, they find a driving guide which leads to a road nestled in the mountain range nearby. Turns out the pavement is super burly with huge cracks across the road the entire way down. After the impromptu session is over, the team rests their heads in Mammoth Lakes in preparation to skate the area the following day. Days 2 and 3 will be featured in the in episode of the Get Elevated Tour.

The bizarre adventures continue for the Van Delirium crew as they make their way to Mt. Hood, Oregon for some quick laps and backyard sessions at the Summits. Then they head off to Stevens Pass, Washington for a couple days of backcountry fun (imagine rail kids in the backcountry.) Things get weird for the Van crew as the long trip and the Delirium settles in.

Arbor Snowboards sent a deep crew of riders to Hot Dawgz & Hand Rails including last year’s winner, Nick Visconti as well as Ian Sams, Scotty Vine and Cody Boan. This is their vision of Bear Mountain’s Hot Dawgz & Hand Rails much of which was shot through the eye of a Red Camera.

Head on down to the Ivy Nightclub on St-Laurent on Friday, September 23rd for some good times.

Chippa Wilson heard we’ve got a new magic stick we’ve been working on, and he just had to have one. Coming in at 5’7 x 18 3/4 x 2 3/16, it feels good. Looks nice, eh? Don’t worry, this secret sled will be available for mass consumption in January. So hold your breath till then, and look for footage of Chippa on this board real soon.

COMUNE Women’s SS12 look book was shot at our new downtown LA office and surrounding properties. One of the most inspirational locations was an old brick warehouse which was used previously as part of the downtown railroad system. The large open space, tattered steel beams, and old windows filled the large industrial space with a warm light creating the perfect ambiance to shoot our line.

Later that day we drove down the steep embankment into the LA river and explored at ground level. After five minutes of shooting we were rolled by an overzealous county Sheriff asking us for proper permits. Luckily Teela, our model chatted him up and persuaded him to allow us continue. We wrapped there, rallied up the steep concrete bank, through a creepy tunnel, and then celebrated with lunch.

The COMUNE 2012 Spring and Summer Women’s collection is a focused line that blends the aesthetic from our Men’s base and feminizes it into a wearable modern offering. Gleaning many of the same details from our Men’s line, COMUNE Women’s represents a new stage in our development and spot lights us as a young contemporary brand. Chiffon blouses, loose cuffed trousers, draping tanks and light weight trenches are a few of the key pieces that are highlighted for the 2012 Spring and Summer line. Mirroring the mens color story, the dark muted tones bring out the graceful colors that are natural to the COMUNE spirit.

Our in house multi media designer Jordan Minardi filmed and edited the video. We’re also very proud that he composed the musical score himself, playing and recording all the instruments. Enjoy!

Set right next the Olympic Luge Track on the access road, this 2 Day Skateboard Race weekend is set for June 25th and 26th 2011. A highly technical 1 mile race track drops over 1000 feet as riders fly through SEVEN 180 degree hairpins and a total of 9 corners. Saturday will be freeride with racing on Sunday.
